Donald defends Honda title at new venue

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) Padraig Harrington and Jim Furyk have played a lot of good golf over the last couple of years, which explains why they are among the top 10 in the world rankings.

They just haven't won.

Harrington was the toast of golf in 2008 when he became the first European to win consecutive majors in the same year, the second coming at Oakland Hills when he made that 15-foot par putt on the final hole to secure victory in the PGA Championship. His only victory since then was the Irish PGA, which is not a recognized event on any tour.

Ex-porn star posts alleged Woods texts

LOS ANGELES (AP) A former porn actress says she may reveal more potentially embarrassing information about Tiger Woods after releasing sexually graphic text messages that she claims prove her affair with the golfer.

Joslyn James told The Associated Press on Thursday that she disclosed the messages because she wants people to realize that she was honest when she came forth earlier this year and said Woods had avidly pursued her. Read More...

Woods won't have new sponsor logo on bag

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) Tiger Woods won't replace AT&T with a new corporate sponsor on his golf bag when he returns at the Masters, instead using his Nike brand.

Toms needs right shoulder surgery

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) Former PGA champion David Toms has been losing length off the tee that he can't afford, and now he knows why. Toms said Friday he has a bone spur in his rotator cuff that will require surgery.

Toms, who shot an 8-under 63 to get into contention at the Transitions Championship, said he plans to take medication to at least get through the Masters. After that, he might have to have arthroscopic surgery that will keep him out two months. Read More...

Oosthuizen leads by 2 at Trophee Hassan

RABAT, Morocco (AP) Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa shot a 9-under 64 Saturday to take a two-stroke lead over Rhys Davies of Wales after the third round of the Trophee Hassan II.

Oosthuizen had five birdies on the front nine and five more on the back to go with a single bogey on No. 17. Overnight leader Davies had seven birdies in his round of 68. Read More...

Woods' return draws criticism from press

LONDON (AP) Tiger Woods' planned return to golf at the Masters drew plenty of criticism from the international press on Wednesday, and the most scathing comments came from Britain.
