Oct. 9 12:46 PM PT1:46 PM MT2:46 PM CT3:46 PM ET8:46 PM GMT4:46 AM 北京时间-Cook allowed three runs and seven hits in five innings of the Rockies' 5-4 win over the Phillies in Game 2 of the NLDS.
Analysis: The right-handed sinkerballer got 12 of his 15 outs on grounders or strikeouts. "His sinker was downhill and he was really working both sides of the plate," Colorado catcher Yorvit Torrealba said.
Oct. 2 3:28 PM PT4:28 PM MT5:28 PM CT6:28 PM ET11:28 PM GMT7:28 AM 北京时间-Cook pitched four-hit ball over eight spectacular innings in his second start since missing a month with a sore shoulder, and Garrett Atkins drove in three runs for the Rockies in a 9-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday.
Analysis: Cook (11-6) allowed one run and four hits in his longest outing since June 28 at Oakland, cementing his spot in the playoff rotation.
Sep. 26 2:48 PM PT3:48 PM MT4:48 PM CT5:48 PM ET10:48 PM GMT6:48 AM 北京时间-Cook threw five scoreless innings in Friday's 2-1 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: In his first start since Aug. 21, when shoulder soreness forced him out of a game against San Francisco, Cook allowed four hits, all singles, got 12 groundball outs and didn't walk a batter in an impressive 76-pitch performance.
Sep. 26 10:38 PM PT11:38 PM MT12:38 AM CT1:38 AM ET6:38 AM GMT2:38 PM 北京时间-Cook is on the disabled list with a right shoulder strain, and it doesn't seem likely that he'll return for the remainder of the regular season or even the first round of the playoffs, according to the Denver Post.
Analysis: Cook, who has already thrown a bullpen session, will next throw in an Arizona instructional league game rather than the majors. An All-Star last season, the right-hander is 10-6 with a 4.47 ERA in 25 starts. He had given up six runs before his early departure from Friday's game, and in his previous start, at Florida on Sunday, he allowed a season-high seven runs and eight hits in just 2 1-3 innings.
Aug. 17 2:00 PM PT3:00 PM MT4:00 PM CT5:00 PM ET10:00 PM GMT6:00 AM 北京时间-In his first start since spraining his right big toe, Cook was tagged for a season-worst seven runs in 2 1-3 innings in Sunday's 10-3 loss in Florida, the opener of a doubleheader.
Analysis: Cook (10-5, 4.31 ERA) has lost consecutive starts after a streak of seven wins. The next chance to end his slide will likely come Friday night against San Francisco. He won his only start this season against the Giants on July 26 and is 5-2 with a 3.72 ERA in the last seven meetings.
Aug. 16 3:06 PM PT4:06 PM MT5:06 PM CT6:06 PM ET11:06 PM GMT7:06 AM 北京时间-Cook will skip his scheduled start Tuesday against Pittsburgh because the Rockies are concerned their No. 1 starter's jammed right big toe might become a lingering problem.
Analysis: Cook said he would see a foot specialist on Monday. He is set to rejoin the rotation Saturday in Florida.
Aug. 1 11:36 AM PT12:36 PM MT1:36 PM CT2:36 PM ET7:36 PM GMT3:36 AM 北京时间-Cook did not get a decision Friday after allowing three runs and seven hits over 6 2-3 innings in a 5-3 win over the Reds.
Analysis: Cook is 7-0 with a 2.97 ERA in his last 11 starts for the Rockies.
Jul. 27 3:32 PM PT4:32 PM MT5:32 PM CT6:32 PM ET11:32 PM GMT7:32 AM 北京时间-Cook relied heavily on his trademark sinker to win his seventh straight decision Sunday, allowing two runs over seven innings while leading the Colorado Rockies to a 4-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants.
Analysis: Cook has a 2.86 ERA over his last 10 starts, and is a big reason why the Rockies have a two-game lead on the Giants in the NL wild card race.
Jul. 17 10:57 AM PT11:57 AM MT12:57 PM CT1:57 PM ET6:57 PM GMT2:57 AM 北京时间-Cook held the Padres to one run while matching a career high with eight strikeouts over six innings of a 10-1 win Thursday.
Analysis: Cook had struck out eight once previously, in a win at Washington on July 20, 2007. The right-handed sinkerballer improved to 13-4 with a 2.66 ERA in 23 career games - 21 starts - against the Padres. He's 2-0 with a 2.14 ERA against them this year.
Jun. 29 9:39 AM PT10:39 AM MT11:39 AM CT12:39 PM ET5:39 PM GMT1:39 AM 北京时间-Cook took a shutout into the ninth inning and won his fifth consecutive start as Colorado defeated Oakland 3-1 on Sunday.
Analysis: Cook has a 1.75 ERA over his past five games, and with the Rockies averaging more than 6.5 runs during that stretch, the combination has proved effective. Cook gave up nine hits while walking one and striking out four. The Rockies' franchise wins leader (60) had a 12-inning scoreless streak against the A's end.
Jun. 23 9:18 AM PT10:18 AM MT11:18 AM CT12:18 PM ET5:18 PM GMT1:18 AM 北京时间-Cook allowed one run and three hits in seven innings in the Rockies' 11-1 win over the Angels on Monday night for their 17th victory in 18 games. He became the franchise's all-time leader in victories with his 59th, surpassing Jason Jennings, and also broke Pedro Astacio's team record for road wins with his 30th. Cook has posted a 1.93 ERA in winning his last four starts.
Analysis: The right-hander had only 12 big league wins to his credit when his career - and his life - were threatened because of blood clots that forced him out of a game he started at Coors Field on Aug. 7, 2004, and traveled from his pitching shoulder to both lungs. Cook made it all the way back from surgery four months into the 2005 campaign, and emerged as the Rockies' opening day starter in 2007 after Jennings was traded to Houston in the offseason.
Jun. 12 2:55 PM PT3:55 PM MT4:55 PM CT5:55 PM ET10:55 PM GMT6:55 AM 北京时间-Cook gave up just a run while striking out seven in six innings, lifting the Rockies to a 5-4 victory and three-game sweep over Milwaukee on Thursday.
Analysis: Cook has allowed two runs in 14 innings in his last two starts and has been excellent on the road lately. He's 3-1 with a 2.56 ERA in his last six outings away from Coors Field.
Jun. 7 10:24 AM PT11:24 AM MT12:24 PM CT1:24 PM ET6:24 PM GMT2:24 AM 北京时间-Cook earned his first win in three starts by allowing one run over eight innings in Saturday night's 10-1 victory in St. Louis.
Analysis: Cook (4-3, 4.50 ERA) had previously allowed nine runs in consecutive losses. He is scheduled to make his first start against Milwaukee since July 15, 2007, on Thursday. Cook is 4-2 with a 3.55 ERA in eight career appearances versus the Brewers.
Jun. 2 9:22 AM PT10:22 AM MT11:22 AM CT12:22 PM ET5:22 PM GMT1:22 AM 北京时间-Cook gave up four runs over six innings Monday in a 4-1 loss to the Astros.
Analysis: Cook has dropped consecutive starts for the first time in 2009. He will try to get back on track Saturday at St. Louis.
May 27 11:20 AM PT12:20 PM MT1:20 PM CT2:20 PM ET7:20 PM GMT3:20 AM 北京时间-Cook walked three and allowed four runs in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Analysis: Cook was 2-0 with a 2.19 ERA in his previous four starts.
May 22 1:31 PM PT2:31 PM MT3:31 PM CT4:31 PM ET9:31 PM GMT5:31 AM 北京时间-Cook pitched a four-hitter as the Rockies beat the Atlanta Braves 9-0 on Thursday night.
Analysis: Cook retired the final 16 batters for his second career shutout. He had 20 groundouts and did not allow a baserunner to advance past second for his first win in eight career starts against Atlanta.
May 11 1:29 PM PT2:29 PM MT3:29 PM CT4:29 PM ET9:29 PM GMT5:29 AM 北京时间-Cook yielded one earned run in six innings in Sunday's 3-2 win over Florida.
Analysis: Cook is 2-0 with a 2.14 ERA in his last three starts.
May 6 10:00 AM PT11:00 AM MT12:00 PM CT1:00 PM ET6:00 PM GMT2:00 AM 北京时间-Cook had his best start of the season in Tuesday night's 2-1 loss in 10 innings in San Diego, allowing one run over eight innings.
Analysis: Cook had given up at least three runs in each of his previous five starts. He is slated to start Sunday at home against Florida in the finale of a three-game series. Cook is 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA in three career starts against the Marlins, and gave up seven runs and 11 hits in his previous meeting on July 6, 2008.
Apr. 1 6:47 PM PT7:47 PM MT8:47 PM CT9:47 PM ET2:47 AM GMT10:47 AM 北京时间-Cook worked three innings in a 6-5 loss to Colorado on Wednesday in his final outing before Monday's opening-day start against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Analysis: Cook gave up three runs and seven hits.
Mar. 27 5:10 PM PT6:10 PM MT7:10 PM CT8:10 PM ET1:10 AM GMT9:10 AM 北京时间-Cook pitched into the sixth inning, throwing exactly 100 pitches and giving up just three runs as the Rockies beat the Seattle Mariners 8-3 on Friday afternoon.
Analysis: With his sinker staying too flat for his liking, Cook relied more on his slider and was able to wiggle out of the few jams he faced. It was the kind of challenge he wanted before the season opener arrives on April 6 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
